Options, Applications & Enhancements

First Step: Understanding your company’s needs is the first step in deciding what options will work best for you.  We have 3 tiers of general design options along with options for specialized applications like eCommerce, blogs, forums, and other design enhancements.

Additionally, if your site just needs a tune-up or maintenance we can work with that, too.

Three General Design Options: Different companies have different needs and budgets.  At Bastion, our designs (and their costs) range largely based on two criteria – level of customization and quantity of content. Here are our three general design and buildout options:

Simple Website: Great for clients wanting a small, high quality site at a lower price point.

Clients choose from a variety of pre-designed Bastion templates.  We then adjust the colors to suit you.  We add your logo, tagline, and any other branding elements. Finally, we populate with up to 5 pages of content.  We do a quality check, test and launch. Hosting and email are optional.

Tailored Website: Perfect for clients wanting a flexible, high quality site but not needing a custom design.

Clients choose from a variety of pre-designed Bastion templates or 3rd Party Templates (such as found at sites like Template Monster). We then code the sites from scratch, working with you to make design revisions and integrating your branding elements (e.g. logo, tagline, images).

Sites start at 10 pages of content and go up from there.  E-Commerce, blogging, forums, and more can be optionally added. We do a quality check, test and launch. You can host and have email with us or with your own host.

Custom Website: Ideal for most clients. Offers maximum flexibility and the highest quality image and viewer impact. Custom designed to your business and specifications. Coded in HTML, Flash, or a combination.  Our comprehensive, custom design process includes multiple comps and revisions before finalizing the design.

Sites start at 10 pages of content and go up from there.  E-Commerce, blogging, forums, and more can be optionally added. We do a full quality check, test and launch. Choose to host with us or your own host.

Add-ons, Specialized Sites, and Customization: Today’s websites are increasingly sophisticated and often are used for multiple or specialized purposes.  We offer stand-alone or integrated eCommerce, Blogs and Integrated Applications (e.g. forums, event calendars, images galleries and more).

eCommerce: For clients needing either a dedicated eCommerce site or a general site with eCommerce capabilities integrated into it. We take solidly coded and supported 3rd party programs, implement them and integrate a professional design.  Additionally, we’ll help with the “housekeeping” aspects like setting up a merchant account, installing transaction encryption, and hosting.

Blogs: Blogging offers a number of advantages.  It’s great tool to help establish your company as expert within your industry.  Additionally, it can really impact your Search Engine Optimization efforts.  We can build a specialized, stand-alone blog site for you or integrate blog functionality into your current site or a general design site we’re building for you.

Other Integrated Applications: Need to integrate a forum or bulletin board?  How about an image gallery or event calendar? These are all standard applications that we can help you choose from and integrate into one of our designs. If you need more extensive custom programming or development – we can help there, too.

Graphics Enhancements: Quality graphics enhancements refine your image and enable you to get your message across with greater impact.

Flash Demos and Illustrations: Create animations in flash in order to better or more elegantly display product or other information.

Graphic Design: We offer general graphic design services to create new images, modify or enhance existing images, and more.

Tune-Ups, Maintenance and More: Not ready for a redesign – been orphaned by your last web designer - tired of inconsistent hosting – read on.

Site Tune-Up: Sometimes adding a new banner, refining your menus and dressing up your content can add new life to your old site. Less expensive and extensive than a redesign it may be an excellent option.

Maintenance: Your business changes over time and your website needs to reflect those changes. Editing current content and adding new pages can be a big headache if you don’t have a quality web services company you can rely on.  If you’ve been orphaned by your last designer or just aren’t happy with the quality or timeliness of the work – we can take over your website maintenance needs.

Hosting, Email, Domain services: We provide hosting and email services as an option for our design clients.  However, if you just need email, or aren’t happy with your current hosting options – we can help you, too.  Additionally, we can help you obtain a domain/URL, help with domain redirects, and more.
